Enable as few applications as possible in the auto startup
program list, so that your computer boots faster, has maximum system resources,
is protected from harmful programs, and the applications run faster. Don't
forget to allow virus scanners to run if one is there. You can identify the apps
in the list by clicking 'verify', and see if Ace can recognize any trojan/spyware/virus
in the list using its internal database of known entries. A very good web
site to identify the apps is

You can schedule to run Ace's unneeded file remover, registry
cleaner, or/and history eraser at a particular time/day using the Microsoft Task
Scheduler. The Task Scheduler can be accessed from the control
panel\Scheduled Tasks\Add tasks. Before clicking finish, check mark 'open
advanced properties' option. From the dialog box shown, modify the 'Run'
field by adding arguments. See command line support
for more details. You must have scheduler enabled however. Use the 'Advanced'
menu of scheduler to enable scheduler.

Using
command line arguments, you can create
shortcuts in the start menu or desktop and perform tasks like registry
cleaning, unneeded file removal or/and history erasing with a single click.
Create a shortcut to the executable file aceutils.exe. Then take the
shortcut's properties, and modify the 'target' field by adding the
arguments.

It is always a good idea to backup the
registry, if you are cleaning registry for the first time.

Read this to learn how to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents windows from starting. Install Recovery Console, to start Windows XP/2000, in case
windows won't load at all. Test System Restore from time to time by creating a restore point and restoring that restore point to make sure your System Restore is working.
